Following the creation of a special purpose vehicle with the Nepra Group last month, Kanoda will now acquire one of Nepra Group’s existing subsidiaries, Nepra Metchem Pvt. Ltd., to expand its photovoltaic activities in India and south-east Asia.

“The current expertise and infrastructure of Nepra Metchem will provide a jump-start to Kanoda’s activities,” said Dr. Omkar Jani, founder and CEO of Kanoda, Inc.  The newly acquired company will focus on the solar and renewable energy sectors India and south-east Asia.

According to Mr. Sandeep Patel, president of the Nepra Group, “Both Kanoda and Nepra share a common vision in renewable energy and environmental concerns, and it will be a pleasure working together.”

Nepra will hold a minority stake and overlook specific functionalities to support the company’s activities.
