Sunrgi’s Xtreme Concentrated PhotovoltaicsTM (XCPVTM) carries a promise to produce large amounts of electricity at wholesale prices. 

XCPVTM concentrates sunlight by 2000 times on highly-efficient triple-junction solar cells that are mounted on Sunrgi’s proprietary CoolMoveTM heat removal system and proprietary AccuTrackTM two-axis solar tracking system.

 

Sunrgi claims best metrics in the solar industry:

Advantages of Sunrgi’s system include:

    • Economy – SUNRGI system costs are significantly less per installed kWh than traditional PV technology. Expected advances in technology and volume production will further increase this advantage.

    • Higher Operating Efficiency and Longer Life – SUNRGI’s proprietary CoolMove technology cools the triple-junction solar cells to between 60 F and 100 F above the ambient temperature, which is significantly lower than their normal operating range.  Cooler operating temperatures result in higher operating efficiency and longer useful life.

    • Centralized or Distributed Deployment –SUNRGI systems can be deployed as large centralize power stations or as smaller distributed systems. This versatility supports a wide variety of market entry points. Other concentrated solar technologies, solar thermal in particular, must be implemented as part of large centralized power stations.

    • Efficient Land Use– SUNRGI’s highly efficient modular design uses much less land than traditional solar systems.
