Dr. Omkar Jani, Ph.D. Managing Director

Dr. Omkar Jani received his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, in Photovoltaic Science and Engineering and founded Kanoda in 2004. His expertise includes silicon and high-efficiency photovoltaics, photovoltaic systems, energy policy, research and education. Dr. Jani serves on the board of a number of companies, reviews international journals solar energy, and is personally involved in developing innovative technologies.

Mr. Kalubhai Patel Director, Operations

Mr. Kalubhai Patel has had a successful executive carrier of more than thirty years working with government as well as private sectors. He has founded a total of six successful ventures in civil, chemical and mechanical industries. Additionally, Mr. Patel has directly been responsible for turnaround of two companies into profit-making units through excellence in operation.

Mr. Sandeep Patel, M.B.A. Director, Business Development

Mr. Sandeep Patel is an accomplished personality in business development demonstrated by his projects in mining, chemical trading, manufacturing of specialty chemicals such as ‘activated-carbon’, IT portal, BPO, travel and tourism along with solar equipments and communication solutions. He has done his M.B.A. from LBS, Leeds, UK, with a major in project management. Mr. Patel is also a Lead Auditor for ISO 9000 and ISO 14000, and a Green Belt in Six Sigma.

Mr. Ajay Upadhyaya, M.B.A. Director, U.S. Operations

Mr. Ajay Upadhyaya received his M.B.A. in marketing and management and has more than ten years of experience at the University Center for Excellence in Photovoltaic Science and Engineering – Georgia Institute of Technology. His strong technical background in solar cells and semiconductors and education in management make him a leader in solar technology at both, research and management-level.

Dr. Kinjal Jani, Ph.D. Director, Power Electronics

Dr. Kinjal Jani received her Ph.D. from the University Of South Carolina, USA, with specialization in power electronics. She is an expert in power electronics solution for various applications ranging from photovoltaic systems to energy efficient variable frequency drives. She has a rich international working experience with leading power electronics companies in product development and project management.
