1. Key accountabilities/ deliverables
- Lead and manage electrical engineering design team for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants.
- Complete and detailed electrical designing and engineering of kW and MW-scale PV plants
- Designing and calculation of DC and HT/ LT AC systems
- Designing and calculation of up to 220 kV substation
- Designing and calculation of power transmission and distribution systems
- Designing and calculation of switchgear, transformer systems, electrical rooms/ enclosures
- Cable sizing, routing and loss calculation
- Designing and calculation of electrical safety, protection, earthing, metering, etc. systems
- UPS and battery sizing
- Developing key single line diagrams (SLD), plant layout diagrams, interconnection diagrams, etc.
- Designing of control logic diagrams and schematics
- Designing SCADA and PLC systems
- Evaluation and due diligence of various bids/ RFPs/ queries for development and EPC of power plants
- Project planning, manpower estimation and scheduling
- Development of specifications and bill of quantities
- Development of vendor scope of work
- Floating of inquiry for electrical supply and works
- Technical evaluation on quotations/ proposals/ bids from suppliers and contractors
- Knowledge and compliance with IS codes/ IEC standards for electrical designing
- Coordination with clients, management, project teams, own/ other design teams, support teams such as procurement, etc. throughout the project cycle
- Tools: AutoCAD, PVSyst, PV*SOL, SolidWorks, HelioScope

1. Key accountabilities/ deliverables
- Maintain and update database of site survey, design & engineering drawing of 28,000 telecom sites on daily basis.
- Identification of relevant data from survey forms.
- Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information for further processing.
- Accuracy and attention to detail along with multi-tasking abilities.
- Identification, flagging & reporting of discrepancies.
- Obtain further information, if necessary.
- Co-ordinate with the project team and third party (if necessary).
- Renaming files and folders according to nomenclature provided.
- Secures information by completing data base backups.
- Identify and eliminate duplication of data, whenever required.
- Responding to information requests from authorised members.
- Ability to meet deadlines on daily basis and work with no time constraints.
- Taking full responsibility of maintaining spreadsheet entry in each cell.
- Preparing and sending emails on data mismatch in accordance with the formats given.

1. Key accountabilities/ deliverables
- Survey Validation
- Validate Site Survey forms and photographs for each site against site survey guidelines.
- Check if all sections are filled in survey forms with relevant information.
- Check if all photographs are taken according to survey guidelines.
- Check if 2D drawing in survey forms has all reference measurements and matches with site survey form and photographs taken.
- If survey validation is accepted, submission of survey forms to design team according to Standard Operating Procedure.
- If survey validation is rejected, then missing information/photographs should be noted and has to be sent to respective managers for collecting missing information/photographs. Once missing information is received then re-validate the forms again.
- Responsible for creating, managing and daily updating database based on survey forms status (Accepted, Rejected or In Query).
- PV System Design
- Design Solar PV Plant Layouts in Google SketchUp in 3D model as per inputs given by Site Survey forms and photographs.
- Perform Shadow analysis for Solar PV Plants.
- Preparing single line diagram (SLD), interconnection diagram (ICD) and plant layout diagram (PLD) in AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with Project management team and cross functional teams for necessary drawings and approvals.
- Co-ordination with site team and resolve any technical queries from site.
- Responsible for creating, managing and daily updating database as per status of sketch-up & drawings completed.
2. Mandatory requirements skills
Educational qualification
:
Bachelors/ Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial or allied engineering fields
Technical skills required
:
- Ability to read, comprehend and visualize basic layout drawings involving distances, area, volume, shapes, etc.
- Ability to identify gaps/ missing information in order to complete a layout drawing.
- Able to correlate site/ layout survey forms/ sketch information with photographs available for the site and written explanations at the time of site survey.
- Candidates with excellent hands on experience in Sketch-Up and AutoCAD will be given preference for designing-related activities.
- Ability to prepare layout plan, Single line diagram, earthing layouts in AutoCAD for designing-related activities. Proactive in adopting continuous improvisation in standard operating procedures.
- Ability to produce results error free and work with minimum supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of software including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, PDF, MS Paint, MS Photo Viewer/ Editor, etc.
- Candidates with knowledge in PVSyst will be given preference.
