What We Do

A Microgrid is a group of interconnected loads and distributed energy sources with clearly defined electrical boundaries that act as a single controllable entity with respect to the grid (IEEE definition). A microgrid can work in a grid-connected mode with the central grid, and also work in an isolated stand-alone mode whenever required.

Microgrids have the potential to radically alter the shape of our energy system architecture. They have an essential role to play in large-scale rollout of intermittent renewable energy technologies without requiring expensive infrastructure upgrades. This will require new ways of thinking about urban planning and governance and completely new models of ownership. At Kanoda, we are poised to take on the challenge to think disruptively and excited to transform our energy system through clusters of smart microgrids. Our focus remains on highly resilient power supply and improved power quality.
